As the former Vice President of Research and Marketing at the Economic Development Corporation of Utah (EDCUtah), Matt was instrumental in elevating Utah's profile as a premier destination for business and lifestyle. He led initiatives that combined advanced analytics with qualitative research to provide communities with tailored strategies for growth. One notable project under his leadership revealed the significant impact of arts and entertainment on business retention in Salt Lake City, highlighting the nuanced factors that influence corporate decisions. 

Matt's academic credentials include a Master's degree in Statistics with a focus on Econometrics and Quantitative Economics, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics with a minor in Business, both from the University of Utah. His expertise has been sought after by global brands such as Microsoft, Intel, and Netflix, where he has applied his skills in statistics, market research, and business consulting. 

Beyond his professional endeavors, Matt is deeply committed to community engagement. He serves as the membership chair for the Economic Club of Utah and has taught courses in data analytics and applied statistics at the University of Utah, fostering the next generation of data professionals.
